Here is what separates AW cells from the imitators:
AW batteries are, without question, the best lithium flashlight batteries in the world. They assembled in China, but the actual cells are top tier cells from Panasonic in Japan. AW batteries are specifically intended for high performance applications. You can buy Panasonic cells from online retailers for 1/2 the price, but you are getting second tier cells...basically batteries rejected by other companies.
High quality batteries are the life-blood of any device. This might sound obvious, but buying cheap batteries is often a "go-to" cost cutting measure. There is a reason you don't put cheap gas in a Ferrari, it won't run right. There are a lot of Li-Ion batteries on the market with a vast range of quality. Cheap lithium batteries are at best unreliable; and at worst dangerous.
AW quality starts with the raw li-ion cells. When batteries are manufactured they undergo a battery of tests to determine their performance characteristics. These batteries are then "binned" according to quality. The high quality ones go to big companies like Toshiba, Dell, HP, etc. Instead of getting tossed, the lower quality cells go...other places...like secondary online battery retailers. AW buys top bin cells from Panasonic, not second rate ones. Then each cell is fitted with a custom circuit board that protects the cell from things like over heating, over voltage, under voltage, shorts, and excessive current drain.
If you need a button-top battery for your ProVape ProVari or other similar device, AW Batteries are the best you can get.
These batteries will not fit in the ProVape-1. These AW high drain batteries are for the ProVari Variable Voltage device and require the 18650 extended end cap to work in this device because they are physically longer.
These IMR cells have much lower internal resistance than regular LiIon 3.7V cells and they may end up with a higher ending voltage when charged in certain chargers ( especially the older version WF-139 charger ). Please check the voltage of your ecigarette battery right out of the charger to see if they are above 4.20V when fully charged with your charger. Overcharging above 4.25V may shorten life/cycles. Above 4.50V may even damage them. DO NOT use the charger if it is overcharging IMR cells.
The use of lithium ion rechargeable batteries with e-cigarettes, vaporizers, or other similar products, constitutes a DANGEROUS misuse of the battery cell that poses a SERIOUS RISK of personal injury, property damage, or death. These cells are only for use with proper protection circuitry within system integrations or battery packs with a BMS (battery management system) or PCB (circuit board/module) and are not intended by the manufacturer for use with such products. BATTERIES MAY EXPLODE, BURN, OR CAUSE A FIRE if used with e-cigarettes, vaporizers, or similar products.
The user must have appropriate understanding of lithium ion batteries before purchase. Use caution when working with and using lithium ion batteries as they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode, burn, or cause a fire if misused or mishandled. Always charge in or on a fire-proof surface. Never leave batteries charging unattended. We are not responsible for any damage or injury caused by misuse or mishandling lithium ion batteries and chargers. No express or implied guarantee of compatibility with any device can be made. Charge only with a smart charger designed for this specific type of lithium ion battery. Do not mix and match old and new, used and unused batteries. Local regulations and laws pertaining to the recycling and disposal of lithium ion batteries vary so please consult your local jurisdiction regarding appropriate disposal. Many retail stores offer free recycling of rechargeable batteries.
